Auction House Release Process

  • The majority of ARTA’s shipments are from auction houses.
  • ARTA needs to release the shipment to carriers 24 hours prior to pick up.
  • ARTA will provide the carrier directly with written instructions via email about the scheduled pick-up process. These instructions are to be followed exactly as outlined due to the strict release process.
  •

    Packaging and Transportation

  • Blanket wrap service and/or shrink-wrap packing are required for all items.
  • Foam padding or blanket/plastic wrapping of the front and rear feet is required.
  • All items must be transported in a box truck or enclosed trailer.
  • ANY pre-existing damage to the item MUST be reported to ARTA directly prior to leaving the pick-up location. An ARTA representative is not on site and will need to be contacted by the carrier directly.
  •

    Scheduling

  • Please contact the pickup and delivery locations within 24 hours of booking to confirm your arrival window.
  • You must also contact PU/DEL locations at least 24 hours prior to the appointment.
  • In most cases, delivery will be to a residence. *See further delivery instructions below
  •

    Delivery

  • Delivery should only be completed when the recipient is on site.
  • Shipments should not be delivered to unattended addresses or left on premises without being brought inside to the room of choice.
  • If the recipient is not home at the time of delivery, please contact ARTA for further instructions regarding re-delivery.
  •

    Assistance

  • No assistance is provided at pick-up or delivery.
  • If assistance is needed, note the weight and size of the item and plan accordingly
  • If you are unsure whether two or more people are needed, please reach out to ARTA for clarification.
  •

    Documentation

  • Using uShip’s eBOL is required unless service/technical issues apply.
  • At a minimum, carriers should provide 4 photos at pick-up and 4 photos at delivery.
  • You should take multiple photos at both locations to document the condition of the items shipped in the event of a claim.
