PICKUP AND DELIVERY HOURS

KAIYO GUIDELINES FOR CARRIERS

FAILURE TO FOLLOW GUIDELINES MAY RESULT IN PAYMENT RELEASE DELAYS

 

A note for carriers: Kaiyo values over-communication when it comes to shipping. The more communicative you are with their team and their customers, the more likely they are to book shipments with you in the future.

 

Equipment and Service Requirements:

  • Blanket wrap service and/or packing/crating (including all proper materials) is required for all items.
  • Most items require two people to handle properly. Please plan accordingly and bring help if needed – it is never acceptable to request assistance from the customer.
  • All items must be transported in a box truck or enclosed trailer from pickup to delivery.
  • A BOL is required for all Kaiyo Furniture shipments. *Items are USED – photos and BOL (or eBOL) are MANDATORY to protect carrier from any potential damage liability.

 

Pickup:

  • Following booking, Kaiyo will email the carrier with additional pickup details, including a pickup window and location information.
  • 48 hours before pickup, Kaiyo requires all carriers to email them and confirm pickup details. This ensures the warehouse team has time to pull the item and prepare for pickup.
  • At pickup, a Kaiyo team member will remain with the carrier for the duration of the pickup.*Kaiyo asks that all carriers wear a mask and maintain 6 ft. of social distance at all times.
  • Warehouse and loading dock at pickup.
  • All items on orders must be picked up once confirmed.

 

Delivery:

  • In-Home Delivery with room-of-choice placement is required. All delivery locations are residences.
  • Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to delivery locations (customers may be available sooner upon contact). Ideally, this contact occurs within 24 hours of booking.
  • Stairs may be present at delivery. Contact customer to confirm.
  • Customers may be contacted directly between 9 AM and 6 PM in their local time zone.

Payment Release:

  • Payment is expected to be released within 48 hours of shipment delivery to allow Kaiyo time to confirm delivery details with the end customer.
  • Use eBOL with photos and signature at time of delivery to aid in tracking and help speed the release of payment.
