Retreat Home Furniture: GUIDELINES FOR CARRIERS

FAILURE TO FOLLOW GUIDELINES MAY IMPACT ABILITY TO BID ON FUTURE RETREAT HOME FURNITURE SHIPMENTS

 

Packaging and Transportation

  • Blanket wrap service and/or shrink-wrap packing are required for all items unless pre-boxed by the manufacturer.
  • Please ensure items are secure with transport straps when needed.
  • All items must be transported in an enclosed vehicle type.
  • Enable GPS tracking if possible.
  •  

    Scheduling

  • Please contact the pickup and delivery locations within 24 hours of booking to confirm your arrival window.
  • You must also contact delivery locations at least 72 hours prior to delivery to confirm the scheduled appointment window.
  • In some cases, deliveries are going to a second home and require additional lead time, please plan accordingly.
  • Utilize uShip app to report delays.
  • Inform uShip and Retreat Home Furniture of scheduling difficulties and/or delays.
  •  

    Delivery

  • Contact delivery locations at least 72 hours prior to delivery to confirm the scheduled appointment window.
  • Delivery timeframes are extremely important; if you cannot meet said timeframes, please refrain from accepting the shipment.
  • You must not deliver items outside of a person’s home unless explicitly instructed to by the customer, the expectation is White Glove Delivery.
  • Please reach out to Retreat Home Furniture when encountering difficulty in reaching or communicating with a customer.
  • If damage occurs in transit, please contact us so we can find a solution prior to delivery!

    Assistance

  • No assistance is provided at pick-up or delivery
  • If assistance is needed, note weight and size of item and plan accordingly
  •  

    Documentation

  • Using uShip’s eBOL is required unless service/technical issues apply.
  • You should take multiple photos at both locations to document the condition of the items shipped in the event of a claim.
  •  

    Payment Release

  • eBOL documentation REQUIRED for payment release
  • If no eBOL is utilized, payment release may be delayed due to the need to confirm delivery with the buyer.
